What is the FOIL Method?
The FOIL method is a mnemonic for multiplying two binomials. FOIL stands for First, Outer, Inner, Last.
It is based on the distributive property. In (a + b)(c + d), you multiply First (a×c), Outer (a×d), Inner (b×c), and Last (b×d) terms.
After expanding all four pairs, combine any like terms to simplify the expression.
